Amy Winehouse had a massive gift. I watched her performing live in a little place in London when she was just eighteen years old, and she blew everyone’s socks off. I felt, and still feel deeply outraged and upset to think that anyone could have even considered that she was fit to go on stage only a short while ago, never mind go on tour, when she was clearly in such a desperate state, and so badly needed healing,
I hated that she became such tragic tabloid fodder. There’s absolutely nothing " mythylogically" attractive, heroic or interesting about drug and alcohol addiction . Nothing whatsoever.
It’s just terrible..full stop. Now I expect there’ll be a feeding frenzy, and of course, her recordings will all soar up the charts.
She was amazingly talented…and it should never have ended like this.
