On 7th November 2012 Annie Lennox performed at Hope Rising: a special benefit concert at Torontos Roy Thomson Hall for The Stephen Lewis Foundation. Annie was joined on the bill by the wonderful Angelique Kidjo and Sarah McLachlan. This special event will shone a celebratory spotlight on the pivotal role and power of African women, who are overcoming tremendous adversity, forging hope as they work to turn the tide of AIDS. Women are at the epicentre of the AIDS pandemic in Africa, both as those most affected and infected, and significantly, as those at the heart of the response in their communities.
