I went to hire some costumes for the Christmas Cornucopia at a special place in London last year, where you can find just about every era in clothing that ever was. Afterwards, I was waiting for a taxi in the foyer, when I noticed that they had a guest book, where some very interesting people signed their names….
This signature wasn’t signed by Elizabeth Taylor or Elizabeth Hurley, or any old common or garden Elizabeth Elizabeth!
When I was four years old I was taken to see this Elizabeth opening a bridge in my hometown, and I still have a vague impression of a very big black Rolls Royce and little Union Jack flags being waved everywhere.
